Wow, just wow! Not so much the (vanity?) metric of being a unicorn, but the mere perseverance, hard work, sweat, tears and a lot of fun of the whole team at Mews - under leadership by Matthijs Welle and Richard Valtr - to keep pushing themselves and the market. It was not easy with covid hitting, and the changes the global traveller was expecting, but they outdid themselves big time. So proud on the whole team! And the good part... It's just the beginning. Ambition has always been one of the pillars on which Mews is built, but by following up with pure execution power, there is no limit to what Mews can reach. 🚀 Go get them 👊
After 12 years of incredibly hard work we hit a milestone that seemed unreachable just a couple of years ago. We just closed a fresh round of funding of $110million and today Mews is valued at $1,2billion. On days like today, I think back to how incredibly hard those first years have been, and how much more resilient and ambitious that made us as a team to win. All we want is for hospitality technology to be a fun experience, but also powerful and pushing the boundaries of innovation. We have some amazing investors, who understand and believe in the long term vision for hospitality. With their support we will continue to invest in our product innovation, whilst doubling down on serving and growing our customer base around the world. We have so many exciting product updates coming later this year… I wish I could share, but all in good time 🧐
